20th Anniversary – Latin American Film Festival
In 2025, the Latin American Film Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of bringing the best of Latin American cinema to Australian audiences.
Presented in partnership with the Latin American Embassies in Canberra, this year’s festival showcases films from across Latin America – sharing powerful stories of culture, history, family, and community.

Featuring a Welcome to Country, special guest speakers, traditional Costa Rican dance, and the screening of Apego.
The festival will run from 4–13 September 2025, with films screened in Wollongong and Sydney.
